THE PROCESS

An exclusive appointment to understand the client’s vision for her wedding day. This one-to-one consultation is an opportunity to explore showroom collections and discuss sentimental details of your wedding gown. Design appointments are available at our studio - please contact us to arrange your initial consultation. To discuss a long-distance appointment, please contact our team so we can evaluate the best way to move forward. Please arrive on time for your studio appointment - we may be unable to extend appointments if you are late due to our busy schedule of consultations. We understand that you may want to take pictures and videos to document the process of your bespoke design. To ensure complete confidentiality of our artistic processes we ask that you do not share any content on social media before the unveiling of your final design.

Timelines

The timeline for each design varies considerably depending on the number of necessary fittings and the intricacy of the design. A timeline will be discussed and agreed upon in the initial consultation to ensure the design process is executed without limitation.

Eden will create mood boards and illustrations as a focal point for inspiration before creating a custom sketch. A uniquely collaborative process, brides are invited to be involved at each creative stage, giving an exciting insight into their gown coming to life.

Embroidery & personnalisation

Embracing individuality, collection gowns are fully customizable with options for couture design adaptions and personal embellishment details. Each gown is artfully designed and created with endless possibilities in mind. These designs will be hand-drawn during the initial consultations and then added to the dress by needle and thread later on in the process. These designs can be anything from simple florals to embroidered beads and pearls.

Pattern cutting

This process is the creation of a made to measure two-dimensional design on paper that is the framework for the three dimensional garment. This stage follows the will be done once the initial sketch is completed and fabrics finalised.

Toile critique & end result

The toile fitting is a mock-up of your bridal gown, created specifically for your measurements. This allows our atelier team to perfect the final cut, ensuring your wedding dress is flawlessly fitted to your body shape prior to your fabric pattern cutting. This step is essential in perfecting the silhouette and crafting any embellishments or embroidery to your custom pattern. A series of fittings for your actual wedding gown will then commence, and surface details of your gown come to life.
